Wani sabon bincike ya bayyana cewa, waɗanda ke yunƙurin rage ƙiba ba kawai suna taimakon kansu ba ne kaɗai, domin kuwa har ta abokan zaman su na amfanuwa da tasirin aikata hakan.
Binciken ya gano cewa, idan ɗaya daga cikin ma'abota zama tare musamman ma'aurata ya na ƙoƙarin rage nauyin jikin sa, hakan zai yi tasiri ga ɗaya ma'abocin zaman koda kuwa babu rawar da yake takawa wajen tallafawa abokin zaman sa.
Jaridar Daily Trust ta ruwaito cewa, an gudanar da wannan bincike ne a jam'iar Conncticut dake ƙasar Amurka inda ya bayyana cewa, kimanin kashi ɗaya cikin uku na abokan hulɗar su kan ragu da kaso 3 cikin 100 na ƙibar jikin su koda kuwa ba bu rawar da suke takawa wajen taimakawa abokin zaman su a yunƙurin sa na rage teɓa.
Jagorar wannan bincike wata ƙwararra likitan halayyar da ɗabi'un ɗan Adam, Farfesa Amy Gorin ta bayyana cewa, yunƙuri na canja halayyar da ɗabi'un mutum guda ta kan yi tasiri ga abokan zaman sa, domin kuwa sai ɗabi'un su sun sauya daidai gwargwado.

Binciken ya kuma bayyana cewa, rage nauyin yana da matuƙar tasiri ga rayuwar dan Adam musamman a ɓangarorin da suka shafi lafiya da mu'amalar sa da sauran al'umma. Ire-iren wannan hanyoyin sun haɗar da:
1. Inganta garkuwar jiki daga cututtuka.
2. Karin ɗanɗano ga abinci a baki.
3. Inganta lafiyar ƙwaƙwalwa da kaifin basira.
4. Nagartaccen bacci.
5. Rage fama da ciwon gabbai.
6. Karfin inganci wajen tarawa da iyali.
